Seeds of Hope Clinical Services (SOHCS) exists to facilitate hope and healing for adults, children and families. I believe that when we begin to unpack our pain, we are able to shift our mindset and beliefs to unlock the strength to manage challenging times. Therapy provides a safe and healthy relational experience for individuals and families to explore and adjust how we engage in the world around us. SOHCS and our team are faith-based, however the integration of faith into our work is unique to each client.
SOHCS specializes in strengths-based, client-centered and trauma-informed therapy. We have extensive experience working through life’s transitions with relational conflict, emotional disturbance, depression, anxiety, attachment disruption, parenting support and coaching!
For Kids and Teens
One of my greatest passions is connecting with and partnering with families. As a mother myself, I have personal experience raising children today. As a clinician, I have specific training to join your system and provide support, modeling and practical tools to enhance your connection within your family.
Sessions for the kids in your life are not effective without parents being involved. This is very much a collaboration. If you are coming with a child or adolescent, the expectation is that parent sessions will happen at least once every 4 sessions. There is something powerful when parents join the therapeutic process. Kids no longer feel “there’s something wrong with me” or “my parents want to fix me.” We join together to pinpoint the issues, understand the system and make adjustments. Everyone can learn. It’s much more powerful if everyone is working on a common goal. When one of us struggles, we all struggle and so we can all work together to make things better.
For Family and Parenting
As parents, we are human. Our life and experiences, positive and negative, inevitably come with us into this role. Perhaps you’re experiencing difficulties within yourself and within your interactions with your child. Perhaps you feel fearful that you don’t have the resources to get it “right.” My heart is to partner with you, encourage you, and help you get out of the cycles that hinder your connection to your kids and to one another. In our work together, we will remove the shame and guilt that keeps us stuck and build your confidence to understand and meet the needs of your child.
Some practical things we work on are identifying generational patterns, building your confidence, equipping you to create genuine connection and be fully present with those who matter most and who need you most.
